Between Iseo and Provaglio d’Iseo, the Torbiere del Sebino are a protected wetland created by old peat diggings. Today it is a nature reserve with reed beds, pools and, in late spring, water lilies in bloom.

Things to do

  • Walk the paths and boardwalks across the reserve.
  • Watch the water birds, present all year round.
  • Visit the monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, overlooking the wetland.

Good to know

It is an easy, flat walk, suitable for children. Information on access, rules and guided visits is on the reserve’s website.
